Rachel Stevens' appearance in the 'Strictly Come Dancing' final is in doubt after she injured her back.
The former S Club 7 singer fell awkwardly while practicing her steps, causing a race against time for her to be fit for the reality show's final on Saturday.
A source said: "Rachel's having emergency physiotherapy and taking pain killers. It couldn't have come at a worse time. She's been struggling with her back; she really jarred it after falling heavily. It's a real shame for her."
The 30-year-old pop star will perform four dances with her partner Vincent Simone in the final of the hit show against model Lisa Snowdon and actor Tom Chambers.
Online groups are campaigning for Tom to withdraw from the final following the voting scandal which hit last week's show.
A mix-up with the points system meant the public vote and dance-off were cancelled.
Judges Arlene Phililps, Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli gave contestants Rachel Stevens and Lisa Snowdon two very high scores - meaning Tom Chambers' lower score would automatically see him in a dance-off, regardless of how many public votes he received.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' final will be screened on BBC1 on Saturday.
