Good people of the world

Yesterday I mentioned to a few people about creating a big Get Well card for Felipe Massa.

The interest response so far has been great, with people wanting to send messages or pictures, or even stickers to Felipe! The idea of this is to let people send things to me to collate, then I shall send it all off at once, to stop lots of singular cards or packages being sent, and getting lost on the way. Our contact will make sure that any correspondance arrives. To do this, I am currently in the process of setting up a PO Box, so that if you wish to take part in this, you can mail things to me. Why not email? Well, by the time you've emailed it all to me, it's going to cost me an absolute fortune in printing to try and get everything. Besides, email can be quite impersonal and I want to remove that.

What I'd like you to do, is put your thinking cap on. What would you like to say? What would you like to send? Pictures, messages, doodles, stickers. Anything. Make it personal, make it fun. Perhaps a handwritten note on a piece of pretty paper or a Post It note (though please don't all send Post It notes through!). Be ingenius, be creative. Remember how many more people will be sending things!
Also, keep it fairly short - no 3 page letters please, but you don't just have to do a 1 line comment! A personal request here, please just don't type something and post me a piece of white A4 paper with a couple of black lines on it. Look how boring that is, and if I end up with lots of those, it gets very difficult to do anything because it's kept to a certain size.
You can say what you like, but keep it clean, and keep it nice. Above all, be creative.
It would also be nice if you could include your name and location, so that Felipe can see that you guys come from all over the world. :)

You have a couple of weeks before everything is sorted and I'm able to give you an address to post things to.

Any queries, please ask. If you want to share ideas, that's fine too.

Finally: I know some people will not be interested in this, so apologies to them, but I know many people who have been very upset over Felipe's accident. This is just a card* to say that we are thinking of him and hope he gets well soon. If you do not want to take part, please do not start ranting about it, just keep your comments to yourself and ignore this. Thank you

*The initial idea was a card or a poster, but depending on what is sent and the amount of what is sent, it may change. If wanted, pictures of the scrapbooking style collating can be given later.

This will be x-posted to various places

EDIT: I have just managed to send off the application for a PO Box so the address should hopefully be through shortly. It's taking so long due to having to wait for the correct documents to come through. Keep your eyes peeled for more information!

EDIT: I now have the PO Box address for you to send things to. Please see this entry.

Well said!!! In fact, beautifully said!

And - and this really is the irony of all ironies where female body hair is concerned - then we hit the menopause, cease to be "desirable" to most men, and…

Oh gosh of course not! I figured you've either done this by now or you can use it whenever. It's a free thing so I might do it again myself in the new year :)

I think this was supposed to be more down the 'TV shows it wrong' route than 'I'm still suffering badly' route... Sort of figured that if they get to make TV shows with storylines that remind me then…
