Camden Market is burning!

They don't seem to know why yet, but it was spotted at about 7.20pm and well, its over 3 hours later now and its still going on.  I don't know much about Camden Market etc but I know it was a great source of livelihood for a lot of people.... so that not going to be very good at all.  I don't know much about London and Camden etc so I've probably got the wrong terms used in this but I don't care.

The pictures are quite amazing.... and scary.

It's times like this when I'm glad I'm not a firefighter, but my, do I have some respect for them and the amazing job they do.  I know I couldn't do it.
I wonder what the cause of the fire will be.... accidental, arson...? who knows.  If it carries on we could end up with the great fire of London all over again.

I think it's alright. I'll have to search for news articles in a bit. The reports are somewhat sketchy. I'm not in London and I've never been there, but my dad has. He was there not long ago (though ironically he didn't know about the fire until I told him when I just spoke to him....)

I don't know what they decided to do, but it was spreading quickly for a while... and 30ft flames are a bit big to fight easily.... but firefighters know what they're doing. There was about 100 of them fighting it though.

I hope nobody got hurt.

The fire blazes are so high. It's quite scary.

I don't think anyone got hurt, but the news last night was sketchy and theyve said nothing much on the radio today. The flames were 30ft high though and it took them 3hours to get it under control.

I'll have a search for more news in a bit

I think Camden is North London. Not sure though, cause my geography of London is bad. They did get it under control though, after 3hours and about 100 firefighters there.

I don't think its harmed any people or houses (in general), some shops and a railway bridge and a pub yes, but details are sketchy. I'll search for more news in a bit. They said they'd moved a few people out of their homes etc for precautions last night but that was it.

Yeah well the flames were 30ft high. I want to know how it started though.

Fire is one of those amazing things that when it's controlled people (especially me) love to watch it, but it can so easily become a destructive force thats so dangerous.
