The merry-go-round, part 1

Finally people are getting off the F1 merry-go-round.

Timo Glock is apparently going to Toyota to replace Ralf Schumacher and if Autosport is to be believed, Christian Klien is up for the 2nd seat at Force India (the renamed Spyker).  Although its not a shiny shiny seat, its still a race seat, and he deserves it, setting the fastest time out of everyone testing for them in Barcelona last week.  His test with Spyker earlier in the year at Spa was also very shiny, especially as he wasnt used to the car and it wasnt set up for him.  It would be pretty insane not to let Christian have a seat for 08 so come on other shiny teams, note how well hes doing in Force India testing!  We want a shiny seat!

If my calculations are correct... the driver/team lineup should be as thus (in no particular order):

Ferrari - Kimi Raikkonen, Felipe Massa

McLaren - Lewis Hamilton,

BMW - Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica

Williams - Nico Rosberg, Kazuki Nakajima

Toyota - Jarno Trulli (?), Timo Glock

Red Bull Racing - David Coulthard, Mark Webber

Scuderia Toro Rosso - Sebastian Vettel, Sebastien Bourdais

Honda - Jenson Button, Rubens Barrichello

Super Aguri - Anthony Davidson, Takuma Sato

Force India - Adrian Sutil, Christian Klien (?)

Renault -

Prodrive - (Are they even going to be in the 08 grid or not?  Anyone know?)

I dont remember whats happening at Renault... it still all seems to be up in the air at the moment and as for where Alonso's going, I guess back to Renault, but Im not 100% sure.  I dont even know about certain drivers, hence the '?' with Jarno. Hmm.

If, however, Force India DO go with the above setup, they will either have to be renamed Team Shiny or Team Sexy and must be prepared for uber drooling from fans.  Thenagain, that hasnt bothered us so far, we renamed most of the teams from this season.... hahaha

Umm Let's see what I can add... well Jarno is staying, Toyota re-confirmed him a few days ago... uh at Renault Briatore expects Alonso to confirm within 48 hours, and both Fisi and Heikki are leaving.

As for Prodrive I think they're out of 08 because the current Concorde Agreement still stands, and customer cars are illegal under it.

yeah, they took over from Jaguar and have had a team in F1 since 2005. They have a sister team as well, Scuderia Toro Rosso (which basically means red bull in err.... italian?) Ironically enough though, for an austrian drinks company, they no longer have an austrian driver there
